In recent history big profits have surged in industries that society has come to rely on. When do the obscene profits taken from all become too much. Investors however demand profitability and will divest of stock (demand repayment) in times of unprofitability. What of electricity, oil, natural gas...all the same big profits. What of those who cannot afford to invest in the stock of a company? I guess they're supposed to use the product and shut up. It wouldn't be so bad if the profits went back into the community but in large they don't. They go into private accounts which may or may not result in reinvestment into the region which supplied the profit. It's a great system hu?
